Pelican's Nest Cafe

Today me and my sister went to the pelican nest cafe and it was an awesome experience. The workers were nice the scenery was AMAZING 🤩 and the lighting oh my goodness it was a fantastic like who knew. The food was OFF THE CHARTS very fulling and def worth the price. But it did take a little longer than you would expect it too and the birds were everywhere so that wasn’t very good but overall this cafe is so amazing so good and def recommend if u want fish and chips

On a night with a storm about to greet us, there were still a few people out wanting Pelican's Nest; Already a promising start. The staff were polite, friendly & helpful. Even when I went back to order drinks & apologised for the inconvenience, they mentioned it's no worries, that drinks are on a separate order anyway. 😊 There was a table available under the covers just out front as the storm rumbled over & we were nicely protected from the rain. The meals were perfect for us. The works burger was fresh & full for my Husband. The chicken slider was just my size but would you believe there were too many chips! I ordered extra calamari thinking the kids meal might be small but I had to give away the last of the chips! The calamari wasn't too chewy or soft either! (I had to share that too!)

Pelicans Nest Cafe offers a great spot for some great food by the Manly Esplanade. The menu is centred around seafood to go with the waterside aesthetic. I ordered the creamy garlic prawns(👌🏾)with rice and an extra grilled barramundi. They were kind enough to add an extra piece of barra which was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of seasoning. The portions are generous so make sure you bring an appetite. There were a lot of senior citizens around lunchtime which was great to see and they were well looked after by the staff. *On a side note - DONT be a dummy like me and not look where I was going and trip on the step walking into the Cafe.

This gem eatery/drinkery is in its fledgling stage of development and it's set to go places when they take over more of the buildings on the site and set them up for wining & dining. The food is first class and the array of drinks is mesmerising,with free samplers for the asking. Live music is also put on...if you like that...ring & check when. The host staff are attentive & engaging. The riverside setting makes for an enjoyable pre and post dining walking experience. Do go soon and give them the support they need to achieve the funds for expansion. You will love it!

This is the best Haloumi salad I've ever had. Really generous portion size too. The young lady who served me had such a sweet smile on her face. I was googling all over for a place that was open late, that would be quiet and peaceful. At first I wasn't sure if Pelican's Nest would be a good spot. But they have a beautiful enclosed area, that blocks the wind, and has lighting, and fairy lights for nighttime. I've found such a gem at this Cafe. It's great because it offers a nice view of the park across the road and a bit of the bay. The fresh air is so nice. Even though there's fan (not that noisy) and we're beside the road, cars driving past. I like that there's no music playing (Zarraffas where I normally go for a quiet place doesn't always have great music, and can be loud). I'm so glad I came here today. Really wonderful first time experience. ❤

Far and away the worst grilled fish I’ve ever had. So tough and chewy. The calamari was cooked well but had no taste to it and the chips were cold. The kids meal was big and ok, so that’s nice. Can’t believe we wasted $30 on the rest of it when it’s utterly inedible. There is plenary of choice on the road, don’t make the same mistake we did.
